2019 Lowrey Vineyard Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes
These relatively cool years like 2019 make for some of the best Pinots from this vineyard, showing the true “P-Funk” that we adore at Leaning Post. The initial cherry, mulberry and pomegranate are very quickly subsumed by dirt-covered mushrooms, tomato leaf, sweet-tobacco and rare steak. Less floral and more minty than most years, with some air a pronounced pancetta and smoked game meat begins to creep in, backed by cracked pepper and tarragon. The back-half of the palate brings lovely elegance and smoothness, with an exceptionally long finish. The body is typical mid-weight Lowrey but is backed by a solid tannic structure and incredible core-weight intensity that leaves a general feeling that it will last for decades to come!
